Description

In the upper part of the famous medieval historical centre of Certaldo, among the green Chianti hills, you can find the apartments "La Torre", situated in an ancient wonderful palace of the XIII century.

They are big, smart and comfortable and all the apartments face from a side the main square of Certaldo Alta and from the other side the private courtyard of the palace. They are just restructured and all the interior decoration keep the historical style that you can find all around.
Each apartment has its own kitchen, dining room, bedrooms and bathroom and, one of it has also a wonderful original tower from where you can see the panorama of our unique countryside, included the famous medieval centre of San Gimignano, far only 10 Km from Certaldo.

You can reach the residential palace by car, using also the private parking in the courtyard in front of the houses or, you can also use the cableway which runs from the centre of Certaldo (down part of the town) to the upper part where the apartments are situated.

In Certaldo Alta you can find also interesting churches and museums like the original house of the medieval writer Giovanni Boccaccio, the nice Palazzo Pretorio, the SS. Jacopo and Filippo church and also some commercial stores like restaurants, pubs, pizzeries, ice cream's shops etc...etc...
In all the area the traffic is limited so you can spend a very resting and relaxing stay.

Don't forget that Certaldo is far only 40 Km from Florence, 35 Km from Siena and about 70 Km from the Tuscanian coasts.
Close to us there are also some other interesting towns like Castelfiorentino, Colle Val d'Elsa, Montespertoli, Montaione, Volterra, Pienza and Empoli and Poggibonsi from where you can take the motorways.

• From Pisa take the Pisa - Firenze line as far as Empoli then to Siena
• From Siena take the Siena - Empoli - Firenze line

• From Florence and Pisa take the Firenze - Pisa - Livorno (FI-PI-LI) motorway, exit "Ginestra", go on to Montespertoli, Castelfiorentino, Certaldo;
