Description

Il Pozzeto is situated at an altitude of 500 metres between Arezzo, Cortona and Sansepolcro on the Anghiari's hills. It is the result of an architectural building of the 17th century restoration, which has been used by Franciscan Pilgrims as a place of heritage for ages.
The building is only 7 Km. far from Anghiari, which is a beautiful medieval village in the heart of the land where the Arno and Tevere rivers flow. Its potent boundary wall built during the 13th century made of it an inviolable bastion, which became a significant point of reference for the historical events, keeping the flag of Tuscany flying in a borderland which was precariously balanced. On June 29, 1944 the well-known "Anghiari's battle" reaffirmed the Florentine hegemony on Tuscany. You can admire the fresco of the battle by Leonardo Da Vinci inside Palazzo Vecchio.
Il Pozzeto is made up of two Units; the main one has 8 comfortable apartments from 2 to 6 beds. They are furnished in a perfect Tuscan country-style and all have a bath and a shower,a living room, a kitchenette with gas rings, a fridge, a television and the heating. Beside that, there is a typical room with a big fireplace, table-games and TV which are at all guests disposal. In the other Unit there is a big room where you can have breakfast, and making a reservation it is possible to have also lunch or dinner.
A characteristic barbecue is situated on a big field and closed to it, there is a swimming pool with a panoramic view, which overlooks the splendid Valtiberina. Who spends time in this peaceful place with its unique location is able to forget the stress of daily life feeling the beauty of the uncontaminated nature. Once in Il Pozzeto you can book massages made by high professional experts which surely will give you a sense of physical and psychological well-being.
You can rent a bike or a quad, or simply take a walk to leave The Pozzeto in order to make excursions or else, if you love riding you will find a riding-ground not far from the building.
