Allow me to introduce you to Laticastelli, a Country Relais perched on the top of a Tuscan hill with an impressive view of the surrounding countryside.

Laticastelli, originally a XIII th. century castle and then a medieval village, is now an exclusive 60 hectare resort for people who enjoy historic places combined with the art, culture and exceptional landscapes of Tuscany.

Laticastelli is a quiet, secluded place.
The swimming pool, also on the top of the hill, has an attractive design and a wonderful view to the valley. Beyond the fields there are olive trees, vineyards and woods where you can walk, cycle or simply relax.

This unique property, close to the Ombrone river, offers other exceptional advantages such as a polo field and woods with winding paths that makes it an ideal place to ride.
Laticastelli offers Rooms and Suites, each with its own individuality and design. The restoration has retained the feeling of the old village, recreating the atmosphere of the past whilst maintaining its original charm and character.
Rustic furniture of peasant origins mixes with old doors and windows. Wooden beams and travertine marble blend together in a charming combination of styles.
All bedrooms have air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms. The Suites have a spacious sitting room with a sofa that can be used as extra bed. Some of the Suites also have a kitchenette and TV.
In addition, one of the main assets of Laticastelli is its location in the heart of Tuscany. Situated near RAPOLANO TERME, 22 km from SIENA, and with easy access to a four-lane highway that gets you to Siena and the Chianti Region in 15 minutes, to Arezzo, Cortona or Montepulciano in 40 minutes and Florence, San Gimignano or Assisi in less than an hour.
Nearby you will find many picturesque medieval villages, castles, churches and excellent restaurants and the spas of Rapolano Terme with their thermal baths that date from roman times, are only a few minutes away. So its privileged location makes it the perfect spot from which to visit most of Tuscany.
Laticastelli will start operating in May 2008 with 26 air-conditioned Suites and Bedrooms. La Taverna, built in the old cellars, offers breakfast, excellent wines and food.
